Abbey was found as a stray in Kerrville, Texas. She was adopted from the animal shelter in Kerrville and surrendered to the animal shelter in Austin, Texas. Abbey was surrendered due to nipping at the small child in the household. Since being in a foster home with Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Abbey has become more confident and does not nip out of fear. She gets along great with other dogs, all sizes and ages. She is house trained, leash trained and crate trained, however, she gets very stressed being in a crate. Abbey loves to go for car rides. She mostly enjoys chasing birds, rabbits, etc. and spends most of her time with her nose to the ground trying to track every scent.
Abbey’s ideal home would be a home without small children. She would do best in a house with a backyard and secured fence.
